HDS was named as a finalist for the Let’s Get Healthy California Innovation Challenge 2.0. This challenge seeks to “uncover innovative approaches and solutions that improve health outcomes and address the factors that shape our health” and to “engage, empower, and recognize change makers who seek to positively impact the problems that they care most about.”
The HDS Project Director, Lily Valmidiano, MPH, CHES, had the opportunity to present on HDS at the 2017 Innovation Conference, which was held on February 27 in Sacramento, California. HDS was part of the Health Systems Transformation panel and was the only program serving children that was featured. The HDS Project Director also had the opportunity to have breakfast with Diana Dooley, Secretary of the California Health and Human Services Agency, and other department directors, to share information about HDS.
HDS is also now featured on the Let’s Get Healthy California website at: https://letsgethealthy.ca.gov/together/innovation-challenge-showcase/
HDS is funded by First 5 San Diego.
