On Saturday, October 7th we hosted our Books on the Bay fundraiser dinner. This year’s evening included a cocktail hour of networking, silent auction, live music by BJ Lawrence and Polynesian dance performances by Ohanas from Makani Kai. We then moved into the ballroom for a buffet, presentation of AAP-CA3 awards by Executive Board President, Dr. Liza Suh and Executive Director, Meredith Kennedy; Reach Out and Read presentation by Dr. Wendy Pavlovich, and live auction and raise the paddle with our evening’s emcee Anna Couvrette. We had a great turn out of providers and the public that support our early childhood literacy efforts and raised over $40,000. Making this our most successful fundraiser dinner yet!
