ANGÉLICA PEREZ

Angélica has joined the AAP-CA3 team as a Project Specialist and will be supporting the development and implementation of the Healthy Families America Model with County Nurses. She has over 8 years of direct service experience and has developed a pedagogy that is relationship based, rooted in trauma informed care, and cultural humility. Her prior experience as a Family Support Specialist with First 5 First Steps has been pivotal in her professional growth and validated her enthusiasm for holding space for the human experience. Angélica received her BA in Sociology with a focus in social inequalities and Education Studies Minor from UCSD.  Angélica is passionate about social emotional learning and wellbeing; and strives to contribute to spaces committed to community healing and repair.
