Meet Our Members: Dr. Tina Udhwani Fallon

We want to take some time to highlight our hard-working members and allow them to share some things about themselves we may not know. Every month, we will highlight one of our member physicians with some out-of-the-ordinary questions (thank you, Brené Brown for the inspiration) and hopefully find some unexpected answers.

Dr. Tina Udhwani Fallon is a board-certified pediatrician practicing at TrueCare. Get to know Dr. Fallon!

What is your favorite San Diego Restaurant/Eatery?
My husband was raised in Japan, and we were very excited to see that there are multiple yakitori restaurants in San Diego! Our favorite is a small place called Yakitori Taisho. It feels just like a small hidden izakaya in Tokyo.

What are some of your hobbies?
If there’s any free time in the week, I try to spend it being creative in the kitchen or trying a new art form (watercolor, digital art, calligraphy). We try and spend one day/afternoon a week at the beach with our dog Tilly.

What is your favorite Movie/One of your favorite movies?
Growing up was always the next Bollywood film with Shah Rukh Khan. Now days anything Pixar, Marvel, or by Wes Anderson is on the watch list.

What is the last T.V. show you binge watched?
Too many to count. The ones that stand out are the Korean drama “It’s Ok to Not Be Okay” (great commentary on how we view mental health in modern society) and Ginny and Georgia (great twist!).

What is your favorite meal or snack?
After an active day at the beach, I’m all in for a California burrito.

Give us a snapshot of an ordinary moment in your life that gives you real joy.
Every morning our dog jumps on the bed right before the alarm goes off for some morning snuggles. Best way to wake up is next to a snoozing puppy!

What is one thing you are deeply grateful for right now?
I am very grateful for a vaccine that has helped keep my family and I healthy and COVID-free for the last year!
